Home Studies

A home study is a report that is required by every court in the United States to legally adopt a child. If you are hoping to adopt, you must have a home study. This report outlines your environment, biographical information, finances, employment, and health. The report is a license which must be updated each year. It is a vital part of your adoption journey and describes the characteristics of the child you may adopt. This summary is presented to the judge for the finalization of your adoption. It may also be read by potential expectant mothers or other agencies.
